Pick It Up

On tuesday my editor rang me up and gave me some great news. I was so shocked in fact that I almost blew an artery. Thankfully I did not. I kept my composure and responded accordingly. "Yes James, I'll be right there". I drove to school at midnight. A first for me. Quite weird actually. Driving around that disneyland sized parking lot with no one there but me.
I knocked on the door and I was let in. The room was abuzz with chattering and red pens scattered all over the table.
This is where I am meant to be I told myself. These people really care about putting out a quality paper. I was excited to say the least.
I walked over to the layout computer and was overjoyed to see my photo on the screen. Right smack dab on the front page was my photo. I couldn't believe it. Me? How could it be. I don't know and I don't care but it must mean i'm doing something right.
Front page news! Yes sir.
Anyway. Thats all I wanted to say. I got the front page!
